Designer Homes Brisbane
`The two storey home incorporates a step down in the lower level living area, following the line of the slope and minimising costly earthworks. The open plan kitchen, living and meals area opens out to the alfresco and the slightly elevated landing maximises the spectacular views across the parkland at the rear.
The stairs to the upper floor are a feature on their own, with semi-cantilevered, solid timber treads and a little reading nook on the landing.
On the upper floor is a quiet bedroom zone, with four private bedrooms and a family bathroom. The luxury master suite opens out to a juliet balcony with serene views out to the parkland.
In keeping with the upmarket streetscape of the neighbourhood, DesignBuild created a contemporary, yet subtle facade in neutral colours. A small balcony off the front bedroom was created and the roofline of the home extended to align with the rest of the street.
Despite its contemporary feel and urban location, the home was built on eco friendly principals, with the timber frame constructed from Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified timber. This means the timber came from a forest that had been managed responsibly.
Sloping lots need not be difficult or expensive to build your dream home. Clever design working with the slope of the land and not against it will minimise impact on your lot and your budget.
