Although this Taringa block was already host to an older home, it certainly wasn’t what its owners required for the next stage of their life. The family, a professional couple with teenage daughters, instead sought a contemporary, modern design, with three levels to accommodate their everyday needs.

The home takes full advantage of its glorious northern aspect, so rather than placing the pool in the backyard it rests in the front, complete with its own alfresco zone. It’s completely private, but also ties in with the main living area.

The house’s footprint spans about six metres of fall from the front boundary; on the 33 metre length block, there are nine metres of fall. Building a design that accommodated that was a challenge the team rose to with ease.
