This original one level post war home was raised and extended to accommodate our client and her elderly mother. Situated close to a creek, the site was subject to flooding, so the home was raised so a self contained studio on the new ground level could be created above the flood level. The studio, created for the elderly mother, incorporated two bedrooms and a bathroom, a large rumpus, kitchenette and laundry.

The first floor was redesigned and renovated to include a luxury master suite, with walk in wardrobe and ensuite. An open plan living area incorporates a galley kitchen, dining, family and study nook. A second bedroom opening to the living area doubles as a lounge room or guest room.

The home was in a demolition control precinct, therefore the additions were designed to maintain the original character of the dwelling in the neighbourhood they loved.
